Seekers of Unexplained Louisiana (S.O.U.L) is a non-profit paranormal investigation and research team based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but we have branches/members all over the state. Currently we only do investigations in Louisiana. However if we cannot help a client directly we can and will refer him/her to a reputable team. We take what we do here very seriously. We operate within the law with the highest regard for client confidentiality, as well as the safety of our clients and team members. All team members must undergo a ninety day probationary/training period before becoming a full member of our team. This training includes but is not limited to discussion and preparation of safety issues and signing a client case confidentiality agreement. Although we usually put any obtained evidence on our website, we will never discuss a client’s case with anyone outside of our team. In addition the client may opt to sign a complete confidentiality form which will let us know to keep this evidence off our website. We will never trespass for the sake of an investigation. Permission from the location’s owner is always obtained prior to investigations. In the case of outdoor public area investigations the proper authorities are alerted to our presence and shown the consent to investigate form signed by the property’s owner. We do not declare ourselves to be psychics, claim to speak to the dead, use Ouija boards, or séances. Our team takes a scientific approach to all our investigations. We use electronic equipment such as digital recorders, infrared thermometers, EMF meters, IR cameras, and digital cameras to capture and study potential paranormal evidence. Not only do we do investigations and reasearch on the potentially "haunted" areas, but we are here to help in other ways as well. If after the investigation we do find something and the client is uncomfortable with it being there, we will make every effort to help. However we do not force our beliefs on anyone. We will work within the client's own beliefs and wishes to hopefully form a peaceful and safe environment for them. The members of S.O.U.L approach all potentially haunted sites in a neutral manner. We will never claim any location to be haunted or not haunted without first investigating and reviewing all evidence thoroughly. When reviewing any evidence we capture we will first try to rule out any other explanations before stating that we believe there is a haunting present. |
